Keiji Ashizawa Design (KAD) was founded in 2005 by Keiji Ashizawa and is based in Taito Ward, Tokyo. The studio brings together architects, interior designers, and product designers from diverse backgrounds. Guided by the philosophy of “Honest Design”, the practice is known for its craft-driven approach, rooted in material and site, and for its holistic design of spaces. Extending beyond architecture, Keiji Ashizawa Design’s expertise also encompasses landscape, interior, and furniture design, as well as branding. This multidisciplinary approach enables the studio to create unified, finely detailed environments and has led to the successful realisation of a wide range of projects both in Japan and internationally.
